    Where and how does this perspective of faith find its origin? Confucianism originated in 500 BCE in China, when social unrest related to the disintegration of the feudal system was occurring. The religion, often considered more of a philosophy than a religion, is similar to Taoism. However, the difference is that Confucianism seeks to adopt and create a system of government. Confucius discovered the injustices in society, which led him to create Confucianism, with the underlying principle that humans are good by nature, and because people are cruel and inhumane to each other, Confucius sought humanity for the world. Founder and Followers: Confucianism was founded by an individual, Master Kong (Kongfuzi), otherwise known as Confucius. Confucius was born in 551 BCE in China, the son of a soldier and was raised by his mother, and they lived in deplorable poverty. Although Confucius grew up in great poverty, he was raised to love art, literature, and music, and as a teenager he pursued a career as an accountant. This job immediately allowed him to see the injustices of society, particularly when heavy taxes were imposed on peasants to support the leisure lifestyle of the nobility. Confucius had two ideals: he wanted to develop excellent individuals who could become social leaders, and he wanted to create a harmonious society. Confucius' disciples, numbering 77 in total, accompanied him for thirteen years, during which Confucius traveled from state to state, and during several of those years his enemies attempted to kill him. Confucius taught his disciples the importance of always accepting the correction of one's faults. Confucianism was a great patron of Chinese arts, which created the human being, the junzi, revealing that it is not necessary to be rich, but to be a complete individual who loves history, l art, poetry and music.
