    Many students like me growing up felt like school was a big waste of time. When I was a kid, all I wanted was to be outside and play with my friends. I wasn't a big fan of any of the majors like English, Math, or Social Studies. This ultimately prevented me from passing my tests or writing assignments. When I started 3rd grade, they introduced me to the drama club. That’s where I started to fall in love with school and eventually theater too. It was the drama club that changed my entire outlook on school and, in many ways, made me become more involved in the classroom because if my grades weren't up to par, a jerk level, I couldn't participate in the drama club. Mike Rose's Story "Finding Our Way" I felt more connected to this problem I was experiencing. Like me, Rose asks the question “Why go to school?” » Furthermore, Rose discovered that it was the stupid subjects in school that changed her perspective not only in other classes but also in life. The quote that I think best represents Rose's story is: "A good education helps us make sense of the world and find our way.
