    Research Framework3 Research Methodology:3.1 Research Philosophy:Research philosophy can be divided into two main methods of reasoning; deductive and inductive research. These two methods of reasoning are different in the way of conducting research. Inductive reasoning is more open-ended and used to understand new or unknown phenomena. Theory usually follows the data and the results are difficult to reproduce. In contrast, deductive reasoning is narrower in nature and aims to test or confirm hypotheses. This study uses deductive research. It begins by examining theories related to leadership and e-commerce. The hypothesis is developed by assuming that the level of e-commerce adoption depends on the characteristics of the leader in the organization. The study also applies quantitative research, the data of which will be collected through a questionnaire.3.2 Data Collection Method: There are two types of data available when carrying out a research: primary and secondary data. Primary data is data that researchers collect themselves. The main advantage is that the data is directly collected for the purposes of the research in question. However, the downside is that data collection will take a long time. It is also expensive and likely difficult to access the right respondents. This study uses survey technique as a tool to conduct a quantitative study. In developing the questionnaire, I received assistance from my supervisor and a review of the literature, particularly Kittipong (2005) and Donald Clark (2010). A self-administered questionnaire was developed and sent to a selected sample via email and by hand with regard to approach and convenience. This study can be carried out from different angles.1. By modifying the Leadership Questionnaire data collection instrument. There are other instruments available to measure leadership style.2. This study measures the attitude regarding the advantages of e-commerce, the disadvantages can be included.3. Leadership style is not only a factor in adopting e-commerce. Other factors may be included in the model, such as education, income, market share, company size and customer perception..
