    With today's workforce becoming increasingly diverse and organizations doing more to maximize the benefits of employee differences, organizations rely on managers to recruit the people who do the work. People have always been at the heart of organizations, but their strategic importance continues to grow in the knowledge-based business world. An organization's success increasingly depends on the knowledge, skills and abilities of its employees, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity and differences in skills and abilities. When employee talents are valuable, rare, difficult to imitate and difficult to organize, an organization can gain an advantage. Having managers or human resources departments who are excellent at identifying, recruiting and hiring the best talent available will allow the organization to employ people with skills and abilities that add value to the organization. Human diversity encompasses the physical difference of individuals, such as skin color, gender, and appearance.
