  • Essay / The Bible: The Origin of the Bible - 1686

The vast fossil record can easily be explained when the Flood is taken into account.1 The Bible says very little about the world before the Flood. The scriptures show that although there were many differences in the world before the flood, there were commonalities with the world we live in today. The flood radically changed the world, so much so that the Bible even splits between the two, calling one the world of yesterday and the other the world of today. The world has changed so dramatically, not only because of the catastrophic flood, but also because of the volcanic activity that followed, as well as one or more ice ages, which may have occurred even though they would have been much shorter than the secular world believes. 2 The flood was global, not just a local event, the fossil record bears witness to this, along with many animals being quickly buried in complete cemeteries, the rapid deposition of sediments and the rapid formation of strata, all of this and much more others still. portends a catastrophic flood on a global scale. Fossilization does not occur on a large scale today. When things die, they tend to decompose quickly. However, there is an abundance of preserved fossil parts, carbon, traces and forms of fossil preservation. These must each have formed quickly to exclude their accumulation over time. Much evidence and effects of the Flood still remain in the world today, even though today's world is very different from the antediluvian world. The evidence of creation is also everywhere if man is willing to open his eyes and see it. God's creation declares its glory even in its current imperfect state
