SummaryThe purpose of this article is to explain how a group can become a high performance team. The aim is also to examine the impact of demographic characteristics and cultural diversity on group behavior. This article will illustrate how demographics and cultural diversity contribute to or harm high-performing teams. High-performing teams A high level of performance forms the basis of groups and teams today. High performance is a major goal for many organizations as groups and teams have become more common within organizations. High-performing teams are teams that come together for a specific, important task. For a group to become a successful team, the team must be able to use its collective skills and behaviors to become an effective model working toward a common goal. Belonging to a team requires each member to be clear about the goals and objectives of the team and share a common vision. (Park, 2005) By doing so, a group can become a successful team. Cultural diversity and demographics are increasingly important issues in today's workplace, impacting group behavior..
