Essay / Endangered and Extinct Animals - 760
Did you know that endangered animals represent natural diversity? 800 animals disappear every year. Animals become endangered because they do not receive enough help and support. Endangered animals need to be saved because they are important. Animals represent the nation and the citizens. Animals need to be saved because they are so rare and precious to the nation. Endangered animals must be saved because they are valuable to scientists and the economy. Animals are losing their homes to deforestation, wildfires and pollution. The environment can also affect animals. Drought affects the water supply of animals and plants. People cut down trees to get wood, and most people don't know that they are destroying an animal's home. Wildfires also cause loss of habitat for animals. Poaching and smuggling are the main causes of animal extinction. Pollution is very negative for an animal and its habitat. Animals are curious and try to eat objects that pollute. Additionally, some rivers and natural resources become polluted and may force an animal to move to a new home. Pollution harms valuable resources that animals need. Global warming is melting the ice caps. Polar bears and other animals need ice because ice is their habitat. The Earth is gradually warming up. Global warming does not only affect animals, it also affects humans. Many endangered animals are killed for their fur. Fur is used for clothing and money. Animals are traded because they are rare and have economic value...... middle of paper ...... a happy life, just as humans deserve a chance at a happy life.
