  • Essay / The Importance of Abortion - 739

Abortion is considered one of the most controversial issues of our time. Abortion involves killing an unborn baby or fetus before it is born. There are many things about abortion that most Americans don't know. According to many, abortion is inhumane, constitutes murder, violates human rights and should not be allowed anywhere in the world. Abortion is inhumane and cruel. This causes harm to the mother. It also causes the baby a lot of pain. When the baby is born, it appears outside the uterus bloody and, in some cases, burned. “The baby is born poisoned and burned” (www.mccl.org). This is cruel to the baby and causes a lot of pain throughout the process. Abortion can also be cruel to the mother. “Abortion can cause harm and death to the mother” (www.mccl.org). Abortion can deprive the mother of the gift of life, which is also cruel to the mother. Conceiving a child is such an incredible process and everything that has to happen is an incredible process. It is cruel and inhumane to take the life of a mother. The unnecessary pain the baby feels is unwarranted and should never happen. Abortion causes too many complications and consequences that are unbearable for some mothers to deal with. It is obvious that abortion is murder. Research states that “the fetus is a human life” (www.ethics.missouri.edu). The fetus is also innocent and defenseless. Killing innocence is murder. “Abortions are different from other murders because the baby is defenseless” (www.iep.utm.edu). It is illegal to take life, but abortion is legal, so it is legal in or out of the womb. The fetus is alive in the womb and can feel everything. If a baby is murdered when he or she didn't even have the chance to live out his or her destiny, then what... middle of paper... actually, that's the way out for a coward. Automatically choosing to have sex means accepting that a baby may come into play. When an abortion occurs, not only does it hurt the baby, but it also diminishes the mother's chances. to one day be able to have children again, which may be one of the cruelest things known to man. The fight for life is so precious, and underestimating it with abortion is a slap in the face to God. Murdering innocence is no better than killing in the womb or outside. Regardless of the fact that it is the "mother's choice", she and the man made the choice to give life to this child, and take away what could have been the child to grow up and become the doctor who will heal cancer is selfish. God created life and He alone has the power to take it back. Abortion is cheating God's will and desire for that living, breathing baby..
