Is there too much pressure on teenagers to go to college? There is a lot of pressure on this generation of teenagers to go to college , because we are used to hearing the saying “you have to have a high school diploma”. , so you can go to college to find a good job. Personally, I agree with this saying, because there are many successful people in this world who are college educated, but it takes a lot of work to prepare for college. For example, having to take the SAT or ACT to maintain a certain score for a school to even consider your acceptance. Be financially stable, otherwise prepare to find scholarships and prepare for essays just to get the scholarships. Growing up in a home where your parents want you to do better than them, because they didn't go to college. Additionally, most high-paying jobs require some type of college degree, which means if you want to make big money, get a college education. In high school, we have to think that we want to go to college. The process begins our first year. We need to meet with the school counselor to understand what we need to do, from our junior year to our senior year. We need to have a certain idea of what we want to do for our career. We must be on track to graduate, which means completing all the necessary courses to graduate on time. We are all told to stay in school and get good grades. That's stressful in itself if you're not good at a subject or two. You have to maintain a certain GPA, which means getting all the extra help and work you can. You need to get a reasonable score on ACT or SAT to even be considered for a certain school. Then apply to the school of your choice and a backup school. This is a p...... middle of paper ......ers. If you don't find a job right after college, you may end up with unpaid debts and loans. You will end up having a bad credit score. Then you end up having a bad start in your life.
