  • Essay / Theme of Realism in The Adventures of Huck Finn Realism

The couple does not encounter constant problems throughout their journey. Although many problems arise along the way, they occur within a realistic time frame. For example, the moment they escape from one problem, there is not always another one brewing and ready to solve the next moment. There is free time to talk and get to know each other. The flow of things happens realistically. There are moments of excitement, like the one near the end with Tom's influence in helping Jim escape, but there are also enjoyable moments just floating down the river enjoying the world around them. This is a lot like how events happen in most people's lives. There are moments of action that require quick thinking and movement and there are times when things are fair.
