DrugsAn issue of personal, local and national concern that I would like to focus on in this essay is that of drugs. There are many reasons why I consider drugs to be an issue close to my heart. Firstly, drugs are a personal problem for me. For most of my life, I lived in places where drugs surrounded me. For ten years I have lived in the Duncan Projects in Jersey City, where the temptation to sell, buy, or even use drugs seems to grow every day.
