    INTRODUCTION “It focuses on groups or organizations, rather than individuals, and engages the group in its heart, mind, spirit and energy.” [Lorilee, RS and Lela, V. (1995)]. {From this point of view, we can assume that leadership will shift from individual to collective leadership. Leadership can also move from a group of programs to an evolving and adaptive educational process where it focuses on building good relationships. This means that leadership is a process of social influence, which maximizes the efforts of others towards the achievement of a goal. Leadership is therefore important to manage the sustainability of natural resources in Malaysia to prevent any damage or destruction to our daily lives. So, in this study, there are effective ways to manage natural resources that we can improve the characteristics of leaders, by providing training opportunities or interacting with leaders and encouraging the practice of teamwork in the organization of natural resources. BODY CONTEXT Our societies depend on the abilities of our leaders. and how well they can do their job by managing their work very well. A leader is someone who many people look to for direction, guidance, and motivation. It is therefore important that our leaders have the ability or skills to make difficult decisions and know and do what is good for people. It’s unfortunately too rare.” [Thomas, SB and Scott, AS. (2013)]. A leader can focus on activities that bring praise and rewards, such as actions that cause upward mobility within the organization, rather than making difficult ethical choices. So, organizations succeed or fail simply because of the quality of their leadership. Finally, leaders must be creative in promoting better care and a good work environment while managing natural resources. As we have seen from the beginning, establishing effective leadership in natural resource management is a laudable goal because natural resources, including forest, wildlife, etc., can contribute to sustainability..
