The diverse traditions and sacred beliefs of Hindus capture the attention of people of diverse cultures around the world. From the belief that Brahman is seen as an impersonal form of God to the practice of Bhakti yoga to the surrender of the soul to God, Hinduism promotes innovative ideas to calm and relax the body, mind and the mind. In addition to these particular practices, Hindus respect their geographical environment of the Indus Valley. It is said that in this "valley" ritual purity was important and often achieved through bathing or the use of water. In accordance with the previous statement, a certain tradition gives rise to new research among historians. This tradition involves cleaning and bathing the body, sacrificing animals and cremating the bodies of the deceased in the Ganges. Today, these purification rituals have arguably given rise not only to the most detrimental health problems and diseases among the people living on the banks of the sacred river Ganges, but have also caused unwanted environmental disturbances. An article titled “A Sacred River Under Attack” from the New York Times sheds light on the so-called “assaults” on the Ganges River, “…a sacred river, in a holy city, attacked by shovels, picks and machinery. earthworks… large stones and boulders are pulverized by noisy machines which coat orchards and villages in dust. The Ganges has acquired a value of millions of dollars in recent years through mining. The impact of mining on nearby towns and the river itself includes pollution, dust clouds and "a profound disrespect for Hinduism's most sacred river" (Morrison) .
