  • Essay / Beating and abusing children is unethical - 638

Child abuse is one of the major problems facing society today and common people are not even aware of it. They don't know that about four to five children die every day (Child Abuse Statistics). Due to lack of knowledge and concern, they do not care what the child has to go through when he or she is subjected to mental, emotional, sexual and physical abuse. Let's take the example of Heavenlea – a victim of child abuse – who was abused from the age of 6 until she was 18. She was emotionally, mentally and physically abused. Her parents beat her, spanked her, and once her father slapped her in the face, which almost left her blind. This is what a child must endure when he is the victim of abuse. Abuse threatens their emotional and mental stability. Parents or guardians emotionally abuse their children by insulting them, cursing them, and telling them that they are worthless and that having them was a mistake. They may harm them physically or simply ignore them as if they never existed by not taking care of their food and medical needs. Child abuse is defined as “any act of commission or omission that endangers or impairs the health and physical or emotional development of a child,” which includes any harm caused to a child without any acceptable reason ( child abuse). Everyone should care and contribute to solving this child abuse problem because it will not only help the children but will also help the government save a lot of money and contribute to the growth of the country's economy. Beating, neglecting and abusing children should not be acceptable; No child should suffer such pain. They have not committed any illegal activities, so there is no reason for them to suffer such pain, burden and stress. Childre...... middle of paper ......em on how they can help solve this problem. It doesn’t matter how efficient, dedicated and hardworking the organization is; it is impossible to meet current demand due to limited resources. These organizations therefore cannot help but resolve very few critical cases. Although it is almost impossible to raise your voice, gradually and step by step, everyone can contribute to solving this problem of child abuse. No matter how difficult the problem seems, taking the initiative to solve it can be one of the best solutions. Certainly, small steps would not be enough to find a solution to a problem, but it is better than doing nothing. Problems and controversies. August 20, 2012. n. page. Problems and controversies.
