    Almost every young person and student owns a “smart phone” and with that, they probably have, if not several, social media applications accessible at any time. The danger of social media addiction is visible almost everywhere. If you sit on a park bench, walk around the city, or even sit in a mall, you can see a plethora of distracted people always looking down. The constant desire for a text is the norm these days and it can be fatal if used while performing certain tasks. Texting and driving is a constant struggle among young drivers, as this generation grew up with these devices. Snapchat has also led to people being seriously injured, either from a crazy photo gone wrong or while driving a car. Social media has reprogrammed many people to the point that it is like a drug addiction. In the beginning, social media may not have been as bad as it is today. However, this environment in which we use daily is not healthy and harms our daily life.
