    The trafficking of women and children for sexual exploitation and labor is the fastest growing sex trade in the world. The global sex trade is a multi-billion dollar industry in which women's bodies become the target of the trade's success. Although sex trafficking is a human rights violation, criminals continue to sell women and girls as victims around the world. The crime occurs when a trafficker uses force, fraud, or other means of coercion to gain control of another person. This is with the aim of forcing them to engage in commercial sex acts or other labor services. The overall percentage of women and girls oppressed through trafficking is extremely incredible. “Women and girls are a problem. The problem of human trafficking is taken very seriously as it continues to endanger the lives of these innocent young girls every day. These girls are forced to wake up every morning fearing whether or not they will be able to see their families again. As human beings, we have the right to be free from all forms of slavery, exploitation and acts of violence. It is common knowledge that we should all be treated as equal human beings, regardless of the color of our skin or gender. So why are these girls still suffering? Human trafficking continues to occur in almost every country around the world, forcing these young people to work for free every day under the threat of violence. These people cannot leave because their dignity is taken away. They have never done anything to deserve this form of treatment. So it’s time to stand up and listen because the voices of these young women need to be heard. The rights of these vulnerable young girls must be protected and to do this, a mission must be accomplished to drive change. Social justice must be strengthened so that these young women gain the capacity to develop their potential and implement the changes they need to get their lives back..
