So I decided to work on these weaknesses so as not to give myself too much importance in my life. If I don't do this, it will have negative consequences and could even disrupt my efforts while I use my personal strengths. If we learn the benefits of not taking things personally, then the reaction to criticism or thoughts lessens. I began to think of myself as a person who was most focused on only dictating to myself, setting myself on the right path to success, and avoiding non-productive activities in my daily life. The first step to breaking the habit of taking things personally is to observe the stories I tell myself. Gradually, these stories made me stronger and stronger and reduced the time spent thinking about other issues (Jaeger, 2004). Always remember that people are busy in this world. They may not have time for you. At first this thought made me nervous and felt alone, but gradually I began to accept it as a fact which made me easier to deal with.
