    Currently, voting is a right, but forced voting is not such a terrible thing to participate in in the first place. Voting has various benefits and for this reason, compulsory voting should not be the conflict that it is. A good example would be to look at the progress Canadian students would achieve through compulsory voting. If compulsory voting were in effect, issues concerning young Canadians would be given greater consideration. Currently, it is well known that voter turnout among young Canadians is slowly declining. The voices of young Canadians are being ignored because parties are not emphasizing the concerns of individuals who do not engage in any form of politics, as simple as voting. If voter turnout among young Canadians was higher due to compulsory voting, issues such as high tuition fees would be taken into consideration.
