  • Essay / Britney Spears - 1560

Modern society has created a subculture that lives in a reality that is not real. It is so far from the truth that the inhabitants of this subculture often cannot live in both realities and have become a spectacle for others to marvel at. This subculture is made up of artists, millionaires and athletes. People in this group can range from newborn to death and some survive long afterward. The specimens that interest me are the young people who enter this society without knowing that their lives will never be the same again. Britney Spears was just another victim of society taking her to prison. Britney Spears was born on December 2, 1981. She lived in Kentwood, Louisiana, constantly performed in front of people and always wanted to be on "Star Search." Britney tried out for The New Mickey Mouse Club at age 8, then again at age 11 and succeeded. Then she went solo because her talent was obvious and she wanted more (A&E Television Networks, 2011). Britney had a lot of success from 1998 to 2000. During those years, things changed for her. Britney told people she was "staying a virgin until marriage," but she posed in photos that convinced people to think otherwise. His albums continue to sell in the United States as well as Europe. She embarked on many successful routes until 2003 (Wikipedia, 2011). Her audience finally saw her as a woman and not a girl. In 2002, Britney and her boyfriend Justin Timberlake split. The following year, at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, Britney and fellow former Mouseketeer Christina Alguilera kissed Madonna sensually (A&E Television Networks, 2011). Madonna was a major influence in Britney's life. Since it is in the middle of paper, the reality disturbance is not extreme as it could be based on the information that could be found. For this reason, there may be hope that she can live without medication and therapy. This will be determined as it progresses. Having a stable support system might allow Britney to get back into singing, but I would recommend only doing it for small periods of time. Many young people are entering the entertainment industry. Most of them don't know that without a support system to keep them grounded and stable, their mental development can be compromised. The society that we hold so high in our culture and deem worthy of so much praise is eating our children alive. They grow up too fast, have to constantly defend themselves, and are monitored 24 hours a day. As a society, we need to examine what we are doing to people in the entertainment industry..
