America also has the highest immigration rate. People immigrate to the United States legally and become citizens, but on the other hand, many more enter the United States illegally. Because these immigrants come from many countries, they speak many different languages and have different cultures. Being a multicultural society with so many languages, you can have endless possibilities of knowing, experiencing and learning about different heritages. A common language must be a cornerstone or foundation for being and becoming a citizen. A negative aspect of this multicultural society is that it becomes complicated when cultures based on contrasting ideas come into conflict. The United States is a salad bowl in which every culture comes together to create what is called American culture. The English language is the undisputed language of success of Williams 2 and should be implemented as the official language to balance this nation.
