    Even though messy people are disorganized and messy, they are still better than neat people. The beginning of Britt's essay is effective in explaining to the reader what is happening. I finally understood the difference between neat people and careless people” (644). It is then that she insists that “neat people are lazier and meaner than careless people” (644). The reason Britt says this is because she is trying to demonstrate that neat people are indifferent in the essay, but she insists on being comical throughout the essay. When I read the essay, I didn't really understand the comedic aspect she was going for. I took this essay much more seriously because I consider myself a careless person and yes, Britt says that "careless people are never taken care of" (644). In my defense, I'm trying to transform myself into a neat person. This part really threw me, because in Britt's eyes, careless people and neat people can't change their ways.
