    I remember that cloudy Monday as I walked to school excitedly because I knew baseball tryouts were starting that day. I got up super early out of excitement to watch baseball videos and made sure all my gear was packed multiple times. The school day was difficult simply because I really wanted to outdo all the competitors. After the final bell rang, I headed out onto the field with all the other players with the same goal as me, to be part of the team. I gave everything I had and I was sure the coaches knew what I was made of. I returned home with the hope in my heart that I would surely make it. The next day at school, I made sure the first thing I did was check the board to see if the list was already posted. Sure enough, the list was displayed right in the center, held by four shiny silver pins. My eyes scanned the paper for my name over and over. I couldn't believe it, I didn't make the team.
