  • Essay / Understanding Heroism: A Study of the “Iliad” and the CCP

A hero is not always a powerful person or possessing divine qualities, but someone who is admired for his courage, his qualities noble and who is honorable or virtuous. They are motivated because they know that fighting for their cause is the right thing to do. In many cases, the true honorable hero is unnoticeable at first, but is later discovered to have been there the whole time. Honor is a great respect that cannot be obtained simply by being powerful; honor can only be presented to those who have a truly virtuous conscience. Just like the communist government in China, many Chinese citizens do not realize that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is corrupt, but they later find out that they were unaware of these people who had true righteous intentions.
