    Pi's journey to his faith (Start with a general sentence) In Yann Martel's novel, 'The Life of Pi', the main character, Pi goes through difficult times struggles to manage himself to survive in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with his skills and knowledge. His whole life is a journey. He learns various different skills which are useful for his survival. When Pi becomes an adult, he finds himself alone in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with a 450-pound Bengal tiger. Although losing everything gives him deep depression and makes him hopeless, he eventually uses the skills he learned when he was young to endure through his painful faith. The skills Pi learned while in India were preparation for his own faith. Pi spends most of his childhood in Pondicherry, India, learning and experimenting with various skills that ultimately help Pi survive.
