Even though the stories of violence and bloodshed that Okonkwo told to the children , Nwoye always wanted to hear his mother's stories that were altered versions of reality. This could be because Nwoye was not quite ready here for the malicious stories his father had to tell how Okonkwo wants. let his son (Nwoye) be fearless and powerful, just like his father so Okonkwo chose to tell him stories without leaving out details to raise his son to be as powerful and fearless as his old self.
