After finishing the inspirational teacher essay, I was amazed at how many goals my inspirational teacher had mastered. I enjoyed connecting concrete examples of what this teacher does to the PDP goal statements. One of the things that stood out throughout this week was the collaborative nature of teaching. When I look back on my experience volunteering in his classroom, I realize the efforts he made to bring the administration and other teachers together to provide interdisciplinary activities and rebuild new policies regarding topics such as plagiarism; the fourth objective is related to this because it is based on the commitment to maintaining ethical and functional working relationships with all members of the educational community. I have always considered my mentor to be a great teacher, but now I also see how great he is as a collaborative member of the teaching community. After returning from Burnaby North Secondary, I felt very happy with my decision to become a secondary school teacher. In eleventh grade English class, I felt the overwhelming feeling that this was the type of environment in which I
