    Gap Analysis: Intersect InvestmentsSituation AnalysisIdentifying Problems and OpportunitiesIntersect Investment has been in the financial services industry since September 11, 2001. A year ago, Intersect CEO, Frank Jeffers, has identified a new vision. The problem is that implementing this vision will require revolutionary organizational change, especially in sales. Frank already replaced the executive vice president because he did not support the new philosophy in which Frank was leading his organization and hopes that his new executive vice president will rally the associates to his new vision. The problem is that there is a lot of resistance not only from employees but also from several important stakeholders. If some of the key stakeholders do not mobilize quickly, Intersect runs the risk of customer dissatisfaction because employees will not favor the new one-on-one "trusted advisor" relationship and customers will feel they can get better services elsewhere. Associates will be frustrated because they don't understand the vision because they haven't provided proper education about the change or what motivated it. Therefore, they will mainly focus on the number of sales calls made instead of taking a particular interest in the customer, which would upset them. In addition, sales will decrease because customers will do business elsewhere. Intersect has the opportunity to start with employees and develop a plan that will educate the employee and simultaneously reinforce the sales goal.
