  • Essay / Teaching: My Passion and Passion in Special Education

    I was working at a camp and had a conversation with a friend with Asperger's Syndrome about his experience with special education. He told me how long it took him to get into a program and how those professors helped him become the person he was. The teachers were able to help him understand what he was learning and the life lessons. He and other children with special needs at the camp where I worked these past summers instilled in me a stronger need to reach out to students in special and general education classes. This was again applied in the “Introduction to Special Education” course.
