Essay / Me or my family? My decision to leave Guatemala in...

Graduation day was approaching and my decision had to be made. be revealed as soon as possible I finally had the courage to tell my mother that... middle of paper ......o Miami, but before getting on the plane, I I hugged my mother like it was the last hug I would ever give in my life, and I told her, “Don’t worry mom, I will take care of you and my sister.” Arriving in my new home and starting a new life, I knew I had started a new chapter in my life. life, and even though it was a new start, the promise of taking care of my mother and sister was still at the top of my list of priorities. As a current student at Miami Dade College, I had to overcome a rare fear that meant the fate of me and my family, and I could happily say that moving from Guatemala to Miami was a journey I considered the best option I could have ever done so far. Overcoming this fear has made me a successful person who is ready to overcome any obstacle that comes my way. Now I can say without hesitation: "It will be me and my family”.
