    Marketers operating in the pharmaceutical industry should not promote their products, which then raises the ethical questions surrounding the dispensing profession medical. Pharmaceutical companies spend billions of dollars each year to research, develop and market drugs. Every pharmaceutical company needs approval of its drugs from doctors and physicians, so it must ensure that doctors are treated well. According to the Pew Charitable Trust, the pharmaceutical industry spent more than $27 billion on marketing alone in 2012, including $24 billion spent on marketing to doctors. (Kessel, 2014) Another survey conducted by Deloitte shows that 35% of doctors accept gratuities from pharmaceutical companies and 16% of doctors accept money to represent the pharmaceutical company at conferences and health camps . (Kessel, 2014) The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education reports that pharmaceutical and medical device companies sponsored nearly a third of continuing medical education (CME) opportunities for physicians in 2011. The Responsibility of Health Care Managers to the Health Care Management Profession: Health care leaders must ensure that although prescription drugs should be prescribed accordingly, they cannot be biased in prescribing drugs.
