In those workplaces where transformational leadership is used, job satisfaction leads to organizational commitment. As stated in the text, “Table 3 shows that practically significant and large effect correlation coefficients were found between leader empowerment behavior and intrinsic and extrinsic job satisfaction. Practically significant correlation coefficients of medium effect were found between leader empowerment behavior and behavioral engagement.” When the large effect included correlation values equal to or greater than 0.50 and when the medium effect included values equal to or greater than 0.30, all results were significantly higher than the baseline values. In other words, the result shows that job satisfaction is indeed related to high levels of organizational commitment. Rothmann and Stand wrote, according to Oshagbemi (1999), "...job satisfaction is an affective response to a job that results from comparing a person's outcomes with those that are desired, anticipated, or deserved.".
