Many children participate in pageants and many varieties of people have different opinions. Some people feel good, others not so much. Opinions vary from person to person and reasoning varies as well. But the real question on this topic is: “are these competitions good for them in the long run?” » What comes to mind when the words “child beauty pageant” are said? What some people think of is crazy moms pushing their daughters to win, and little girls dressing up and looking like Barbie. Is this setting a good example for children? This teaches them that people are only judged by their appearance, not their personality. Instead, the lesson they learn is that appearance is the only thing that matters. Watch children's beauty pageants. Note that the girl's childhood is filled with sparkling dresses and makeup. They are trying to grow up too fast and if they continue on this path, they might become a "special" celebrity. These kids' faces have foundation, false eyelashes with mascara, and bright lipstick. On top of that, they wear clothes that are not suitable for children. If they continue to act like they are now, the next generation of girls will become real kids. Some psychology experts estimate that these pageants teach children how to behave and dress about ten years above their age. This is why beauty pageants for children should be banned. These five year olds are getting spray tans! These tans can cause cancer later. Additionally, beauty pageants can cause eating disorders, these children want to be so skinny that they stop eating. Other girls get plastic surgery to look prettier. Too much hairspray could stunt growth.
