Social workers are very important in everyday life. They are the ones who help people in need when they have no one else to turn to. Additionally, they provide resources and a better understanding of any difficulties you may encounter. I will reflect on how the course affected me, my own experiences and how certain theories related to my life experiences, and finally, whether the course helped me obtain my major. This course is important for someone who wants to become a social worker and wants to learn about the different theories used. Additionally, getting to know myself during this process of taking this course is fun and a way to see if the social work profession is right for me. Many theories were explained throughout this course, but many will not be covered because those were not the main points I was trying to get across. There are two tools used to help a social worker organize a client's life: the bubble map and the briefcase exercise. There are many different ways a social worker can help a client work through their problems and find a solution.
