    Kurt Vonnegut was born on November 11, 1922. Kurt was born into a very nice, normal family. Kurt's father was a great architect in their town. His mother's name was Edith, his father owned a very blessed brewery in Indianapolis. That's where they came from. Kurt's family was hurt very badly by the depression. His father gradually saw his business fail. They had to sell their house and pull Kurt out of Orchard School. It was there that he met his lover Jane Cox. He had to attend a public school after that. He was the first of his siblings to attend a public school. All the other older children went to private schools. When he entered this school, he started writing in the school newspaper. He gained a lot of experience doing this. He continued to write this document throughout school. When he graduated from Shortridge High, he went to college called Cornell.
