Essay / Benefits of the Scientific Method - 1010
IntroductionThe scientific method is a process of investigating the world around us and collecting knowledge over time by our scientists. Most people in the world are familiar with the saying “Necessity is the mother of invention”. Every day our world witnesses many impressive inventions, discoveries that have a huge impact on human life. The effort that someone puts in to bring a change to the world we live in and impact human life is massive and majestic. There are many insightful people behind all these inventions and intuitive discoveries. These intuitive tasks arise in the thought process of individuals who venture to find a solution to the uncertainty in their minds. These people do a lot of background work, find solutions to problems and carry out a lot of observations, experiments on the solutions they have arrived at to conclude a result. This process is often called the scientific method. Robert Millikan, winner of the Noble Prize in Physics, once said: “Science advances on two feet, namely theory and experiment. Sometimes it is one foot that is put forward first, sometimes the other, but continued progress only comes through the use of both – by theorizing then testing, or by finding new relationships in the process of experimentation and then putting the theoretical foot down. and push it beyond, and so on in an endless alternation.” Pursuing the truth with clear thinking has brought us to where we are today. Scientific methods offer us a way to avoid the error of ignorance. Scientific methods can simply be described as an ability to investigate systematically while taking notes, learning from peers and past mistakes. The scientific method provides us with a way to gain knowledge...... middle of paper ....... Mass, length, area, and volume are some of the common measurements.ConjecturesA conjecture is an unproven point that appears correct. Sometimes it is called a hypothesis when it is used very often in proofs. The process of the scientific method involves creating conjectures, predicting using observations, and performing experiments based on them to prove the hypothesis. ConclusionEvery day our world witnesses the use of scientific method in many inventions, discoveries or everything around us. These intuitive tasks will lead to great inventions or theories from scientists who venture to find a solution to the uncertainty in their minds. The scientific method distinguishing scientific experiments and other forms of explanation. It is nothing more about knowing a theory than knowing how to arrive at a result using observations and experiments..
