    Humans have the unique ability to evaluate their thoughts, feelings and emotions. They want to learn more about their nature and have an intrinsic need to improve. Humans are naturally ambitious, some more than others. This natural curiosity has advanced our species. From the creation of fire to the natural rights and laws of man, the Internet and modern medicine, human beings have used this introspection to improve their species, protecting their own and challenging their natural instinct for survival. We can cure many previously fatal diseases, build great law-based civilizations, and even eat chemically modified and genetically enhanced products. This purely human type of thinking sets us apart from other animals. Many non-human animals cannot recognize themselves in the mirror, and even those with self-awareness abilities do not yet understand the concept of self-assessment. Animals do not know how to set rules and regulations because their instincts are more important to them. They are not as flexible in their thoughts and habits. Humans, on the other hand, use self-reflection to think about our instincts, which makes us special by allowing us to reflect on our thoughts.
