1. Introduction: Based on this project, a critical revision of the third chapter “Funky Village” of the book “Funky Business” by Jonas Ridderstråle and Kjell Nordström will be carried out. In addition to this, the main arguments of the chosen chapter will be highlighted. Then, the research question will be formulated and answered taking into account the authors' arguments. After reading the book, I formulated my own research question that reflects my personal interest in the chosen topic. Finally, this project ends with a personal commentary on the third chapter as well as the book as a whole. The book “Funky Business” by Kjell A. Nordström and Jonas Ridderstrale discusses the coming changes that affect almost every region of our world. The reasons for these changes are, for example, the higher technological level. Individuals and organizations are affected and therefore the authors consider this book as a self-help book, as it illustrates the current situation and gives many tips on how to behave in these "funky" times. Step by step, the authors analyze each affected sector. and give plenty of advice to the reader so they can find their way in life. Kjell A. Nordström is based at the Institute of International Business at the Stockholm School of Economics. He is also a board member of several international companies. Jonas Ridderstrale is based at the Center for Advanced Leadership Studies at the Stockholm School of Economics. He also works as an advisor, speaker and consultant to several international companies.2. Critical review and main arguments of chapter three: Chapter three of Ridderstrale and Nordström's "Funky Village" discusses several developments in our society in recent years and also demonstrates some characteristics of our current society. Ridderstrale and Nordström begin with the “surplus society” which is characterized by excess and abundance and where oversupply and near-perfect markets are the norm. The phenomenon of this society will be covered below in much more detail by examining the article's research question and the authors' corresponding response. Next comes the “real-time society”. Nowadays, time plays a much more important role and we live in a generation of speed.
