Essay / Techniques used to produce the superb horror film...
Until 1996, American horror films had become disgustingly dreary, desperate for a boost, yawn-filled predictability was the best we could expect. Then finally, we were able to jump out of our seats and gawk at Scream. It's witty, clever, dangerous and fresh. With this giving hope to the horror film genre, it was followed by an incredible sequel. Who can forget the incredible one-off prequel to the amazing scream trilogy? In 1996, it came to haunt us… The brilliant director we know, Wes Craven; the creator of “Nightmare on Elm Street”; the horror film maestro; the ultimate punch-back thriller; the complete package of your nightmare, came with the gruesome starter to what became the invention of the slasher genre film, not to mention it was a major box office success. SHOUT…. What more can I say, the title says it all. From start to finish, your heart's speed never stops and your eyes will be chained to the screen. You'll find yourself cowering in the far corner of the television screen without realizing that Craven is yet another victim of his film...and yet you're forced to give in and let the suspense swallow you up. The intensity is simply terrifying, petrifying and devastating. Watch it, if you can…..If not…..“Then it’s a DEATH WISH”. The astonishing premise is simply a young girl's battle for survival against a brutal and relentless killer. Which, not for a second, will let you take your eyes off the screen. He stalks us, makes us feel pain and without knowing it, he makes us scream for our lives. This is definitely not a setback, relax and enjoy a movie, but rather the opposite, in a good way. A five-minute opening bravura builds the tension brilliantly...... middle of paper ...... reattributed and attacked by the film's murderer. It's well done, the cinematography and sound provide a great introduction to the film. There are three things not to do in this film; DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE; DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR; Don't try to escape. This film will give you a blood-curdling experience on a terrifying roller coaster ride. The blood and violence will shake up your inner organs and put you on the edge of a cliff. It’s scary, mind-blowing…. what more do you want? I'd hate for you to miss it. Those who have a penchant for horror films; you are missing the complete nightmare. I've seen it 3 times and it still freezes me in the most predictable scenes. Don't watch it alone, you risk complete torture. God help you, but no one will help you when you're stuck with the movie. Remember, chicken haunts us. It's a DEATH WISH!!!
