    Teacher Interview Essay While attending Miami Edison Sr. High School, I had the honor of interviewing my field experience teacher, Mr. Armand. He was born in Haiti. He came to America at the age of 13. He graduated from Miami Edison Sr. High School in 1992. He received his associate's degree in art from Miami Dade College. In 2001, he graduated from Florida International University with a bachelor's degree in art and a master's degree. He taught at Miami Edison for 15 years. He teaches mathematics and college algebra extensively. He only teaches students in grades 10-12. Curriculum/Subject Knowledge1. What made you choose the teaching profession?2. His answer: I chose the teaching profession because I believe that all students can learn. They all have the ability to achieve something great in life.3. How have you encouraged less motivated students to participate in class and complete their homework? His response: I let all my students know that they at least have a responsibility to pay attention. They are in demand and I always make sure that everyone has the chance to participate. When it comes to their work, I believe it is their responsibility to ensure that their assignment is delivered on time.4. How do you integrate technology into your teaching and student learning? His response: I integrate technology into my teaching style by letting them work on lesson content on their own. They learn best when it comes to student-centered activities.5. What do you think a teacher needs to know to begin planning a lesson for a class?
