    Archimedes worked diligently in his laboratory. He sat there, thinking and writing furiously. He perfected each mark on his paper until each number was flawless. He was creating some of the most important concepts that would change modern life forever. Not only did he invent, but by the age of 15 he had mastered most of the knowledge that a normal teenager would not master. Archimedes, a famous inventor and mathematical wizard, was known for his many life-changing inventions, his brilliance in mathematics and science, and his amazing, but very busy and challenging life in general. To find out who Archimedes was, research his life. and the context is beneficial Archimedes had a fairly normal life, but had opportunities that not everyone could have. He was an average young boy with dreams. Crépeau (2006), specifies that “he was born in the city of Syracuse on the island of Sicily in 287 BC” (p.2). A person's parents also have a major effect on the type of person they become as an adult. According to Crépeau (2006), “Archimedes was the son of an astronomer named Phidias” (p.2). Astronomers deal with a lot of mathematics and science, so it seems natural that Archimedes would also be very interested in these subjects. According to Crépeau (2006) “Archimède was a famous mathematician. He was the first mathematical physicist. He was also an astronomer, philosopher and engineer” (p.1). You learn a lot of intelligence and responsibility through these subjects, as well as the opportunity to meet extraordinary people and see extraordinary things.
