  • Essay / Effects of the Internet on Daily Life - 753

In my opinion, I believe that the Internet has one of the most important effects on our daily lives. The reason is that it involves social media thanks to the growth of near-instant communication. Improved telecommunications has been around longer than you might think. Social media emerged in the 1950s, like typewriters. However, people did not consider the typewriter to be a fundamental form of the Internet. The history of the Internet begins with the development of electronic computers in the 1950s. The first concepts of packet networking emerged in many computer laboratories in the United States. The Internet was only known in the United States in the 90s. The Internet is probably the heart of the world. For example, you can use it to attend schools or colleges, send emails, make phone calls, two-way video calls and access the web with its chat forums, blogs, social networks and shopping online. In this day and age where internet is not accessible, the world would be lost to a large extent as it controls a large amount of important emails, government documents and much more. Google, eBay, Apple, Samsung and many other companies all depend on their Internet sales. Together, these companies and their power play a significant part of the stock market and the global economy. An Internet crash that lasted for any length of time would crush these companies, shutting them down and sending their stocks plunging, causing severe anxiety in financial markets around the world. The Internet makes a lot of money, especially from major browsers like Google and Yahoo. These internet search browsers also provide many jobs to people all over the world. The Internet is also a major part of education. Students no...... middle of paper ...... the person you are in love with would not be in your life today; and the online games that everyone loves to play wouldn't exist. For me, I believe my life would be boring because that's all I've ever known is modern technology, because I was born in the 1990s. As you can see, the internet has a dramatic effect on our lives, it's almost as if we need oxygen. to survive this era. Almost everything we do involves the Internet. For example, we can't go a day without it, even if you don't have Internet at home, you still need to use it in your daily activities like Internet in doctor's offices to check in; in school lunch lines to pay for your food; and police officers use it in their cars to check license plates. Years ago, many people could avoid using the Internet, but now this is completely impossible because we live in the number one country in the world..
