    Hare used these fundamental factors to develop the revised Psychopathy Checklist assessment tool which helps detect psychopathy in people. They developed this theory because psychopathic behavior was considered a diverse topic that could be categorized into one or two factors. The four recommended factors proposed by Hare and Neumann are: interpersonal, emotional, lifestyle and antisocial. The first factor, interpersonal, consists of superficial charm, manipulation, pathological lying, and grandiose self-esteem. Second, the affective factor involves lack of remorse or guilt, superficial affect, lack of callousness and/or empathy, and an inability to accept responsibility for one's own actions. The third factor is lifestyle, which includes need for stimulation and/or tendency to boredom, parasitic lifestyle, impulsivity, irresponsibility, unsatisfactory work habits and lack of goals realistic in the long term. Finally, the fourth factor is antisocial and includes poor behavioral controls, early behavior problems, juvenile delinquency, criminal versatility, and parole revocation (Hare & Neumann, 2005, p. 58-59).
