    Being an educated Christian means knowing the general aspects of Christianity. Many aspects of Christianity can be traced back to Judaism, both historically and theologically; Christianity shares a connection with Judaism. It is undeniable that historically Christianity finds its roots in Judaism. And theologically, it shares the same divine god and his early preaching. The customs and traditions followed by the early Christians were mostly Jewish traditions. However, over time, the two religions grew to have animosity towards each other. Looking at the animosity, there were many incidents where Jews and Christians did not tolerate each other. Therefore, understanding Judaism is essential to learning the holistic nature and history of Christianity. First of all, historically, the first Christians were the Jewish people who believed in the teaching of Jesus Christ. They lived simultaneously with the Jewish people. The Jews did not differentiate between Jews and Jewish Christians. Originally, Christianity was considered one of the sects of Judaism. The Gentiles were the first to initiate the religion as a separate entity from the Jewish nation. Historically and theologically, it is a known fact that Jesus was born into a Jewish family and until adulthood he was accustomed to Jewish culture and tradition. The fact that he was the “Messiah/anointed one” for years for both Jews and Christians makes the ties between the two religions close to each other. Jesus was proclaimed Savior of the Jews.
