Know Your Audience and the Press Release When an event of this magnitude occurs involving a business and large community, many different roles and audiences need to be considered when you try to communicate the details of the event. event. In this case we are talking about a mining company that faced a cave collapse that trapped many miners, putting their lives in danger and time passing faster and faster as the days went by . Thus, time becoming an essential factor here, measures must be taken quickly and without compromising the effectiveness of the messages transmitted. An immediate message should be sent to all family members of company employees, both those who were directly affected by the collapse as well as those who were not. I believe the best form of communication would be to send a company representative to each home to relay the information directly; instead, they listen to rumors that are probably already relayed by the media. Families of minors likely have many needs and questions that need to be answered. The first question they would probably want answered would be the status of their family member. They would also like to know what was the cause of the incident, what initiatives are in place to help save a member of their family and finally what time frame is planned for the rescue of their loved one.
