Essay / Happiness is the Greatest Good Essay - 934
Life itself has no meaning, but human beings define it. When we talk about goals, every person has unlimited goals. Some of them are short-term, like receiving a high GPA this year, and others are long-term, like working at a specific company for the next five years. However, what I am mentioning are the goals that people are willing to dedicate their lives, sometimes even their lives, to pursuing. For example, Kung Fu masters are willing to continue training until the end of their lives, scientists are more likely to focus on their subject throughout their lives, and people whose countries are invaded will consider union as their life goal. Once people set their life goals, everything they do is aimed at getting closer to their goals. Achieving life's goals is just for the sake of achieving them, not for anything else like happiness, although happiness always comes with accomplishment and happiness itself can be a life.
