Essay / Positive and Negative Effects of Hydraulic Fracturing going up to 10,000 feet. deep. Miners and people who work for gas companies do so to collect the natural gas produced by shale rocks. “Hydraulic fracturing” was developed by Haliburton about 60 years ago. This was a big step forward because there was a time when the United States was considered energy poor. Thanks to this relatively new discovery, the United States would have a large supply of natural gas and would also participate in the national process of using "clean" energy in the future. Although the situation has many positives, it also has negatives. We can say that hydraulic fracturing is a two-sided mirror; beauty and distortion.Haliburton was founded by Erle P. Haliburton in 1919, where he started with nothing but a wooden mixing box, starting an oil well cementing business in Oklahoma. Later, around 1930, the company expanded further by testing concrete mixers, offering "acidifying" services to break the strength of limestone formations and increase gas, oil and gas production (Haliburton, 2013). These were the first steps towards becoming the largest offshore service in the world. The provision of its services to Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, China, Europe and finally, was realigned to the Eastern and Western Hemispheres in 2006-07 and divided its services into two divisions: completion and production, and drilling and evaluation. Here is her beauty all; there are a lot of positives to hydraulic cracking, for example, there are more people getting jobs, helping... middle of paper... but at the end of the day it's one thing positive because of all the benefits it was introduced to the United States and made many people happy; farmers, miners and unemployed people who were able to find employment. The federal government is not fully involved in this action, leaving individual states to govern themselves. Farmers get paid for miners to use their land, miners profit from the oil they collect, and employees earn a living from the job they currently have. This helps slow the use of greenhouse gases that ultimately cause global warming. What's better? Kill two birds with one stone, or kill no birds at all? It's up to you.
