    The media, which influences public attitudes towards issues such as mental health stigma, has the capacity to determine perceptions and individuals' opinions on important topics because of the way they present information. For example, if the media tried to create a barrier between those who suffer from mental illness and those who do not, this could easily be done by publishing only negative articles reporting on the situation. The Press Complaints CommissionThe Press Complaints Commission (PCC), which is an independent regulatory body. for UK magazines and newspapers, this is the editors' code of practice. It acts as a self-regulatory service and only handles complaints and content from magazines and newspapers. The main goal of the CCP is to protect the rights of individuals and the general public. Therefore, if an individual was unhappy with the information posted, the CCP would be involved in the situation. The PCC quotes: “We proactively advertise our services and contact people who may need our help. We aim to promote high standards by developing clear guidance and practical principles through our decisions, and by providing training and advice to editors and journalists. (1) However, although they aim to protect the public, they also need to give the press appropriate freedom. with their publications. The PCC, which implements the Code of Practice for Editors, is made up of 17 members. Of which 10 have no connection with the magazine or press industry, the other 7 would be editors-in-chief. This would provide balance when discussing appropriate actions regarding cases, as there would be two different judgments rather than one biased judgment.
