Society wrongly views pornography as a violent and demoralizing form of adult entertainment and can be seen as a negative catalyst for relationships. Whether or not this destroys relationships is a matter of opinion. Regardless, the porn industry has a proven negative impact on relationship commitment, bedroom expectations, and body image, and can become an addictive practice for some people. Censorship plays a major role in the pornography industry, as in any media. must be regulated. It can be defined as the control of information and ideas circulating within a society (Global Internet Liberty Campaign, 2013). Since the turning point of the sexual revolution in the 1960s, there have only been two sides to the adult industry: ; whether you are for or against, there are no fence sitters. Censorship laws aim to continually defend those who believe that human sexualization is a form of moral corruption and aim to reduce the excessive accumulation of sexual content in the media. As defined by Anne-Frances Watson (2014), pornography can be described as “obscene”. because it means different things to different people. Video cassette-style pornographic and adult magazines are losing the race for popularity in the face of access to online porn.
