    Media as a global tool can easily influence how one is perceived in modern society. This can help women improve their representation and stop the creation of strong stereotypes. The motivation behind stereotyping women is the image of an ideal woman. According to Stephanie Nicholl Berberick, author of a book in The New York Sociologist, the media exploits women by portraying characters that do not reflect the true image of women, which leads to expressing the wrong message to society. Women portrayed as thin and sexy would create stereotypes that could influence other women who are not connected to the media (Berberick). When women play such roles, they tend to make society believe that all women are the same. However, this is not the case because all women have different personalities and attributes that differentiate them from other women.
