  • Essay / A Wonderful Girl with a Wonderful Heart - 869

Anne Frank was an innocent Jew who lived with her family in Germany, then moved to the Netherlands during the Holocaust after Hitler came to power. She was forced to live in a secret annex with her family, the Van Pels and Mr. Pfeiffer. While she was “in hiding”, she took her diary which she wrote very often. Even in her not-so-great conditions, Anne kept a positive attitude throughout her journey. Unfortunately, after 2 years of hiding in the annex, Anne and her family were arrested and sent to a concentration camp. One of the last quotes from Anne's diary said, "Despite everything, I believe that everyone really has a good heart," and I agree that everyone has a good heart. I agree with Anne's statement because some people risk everything they have. in the safety of those they care about. In the film Anne Frank, just before the Franks went into hiding, Margot, Anne's older sister, was drafted into a concentration camp. Mr. Frank heard the news and then went to his colleague Miep. He asked if Miep could help hide the family right above the workplace. She immediately agreed to help the Franks and continued to bring them food and other needs for about 2 years. Miep took big risks by breaking the law and hiding Jews with her, but she did it because she cared about the family and their safety. Miep has a really good heart. Also in Anne Frank, Hannah, one of Anne's best friends, was found outside the concentration camp Anne was in. Hannah had helped Anne by throwing her a small bag of food over the fence. She tried to do it as often as she could without getting caught because she cared about Anne and wanted to help her. Anne was so grateful to have a friend like Hannah and she takes the time he could spend with his family, but he still has a good heart. I believe that people who show generosity every day to everyone and people who make mistakes and feel guilty both have good hearts. It can be difficult to consistently be kind to everyone around you and you will mess up and have regrets. That's life. But I just admire a little girl who was the only one to realize that, despite everything, everyone really has a good heart. Work cited Anne Frank. Real. Robert Dornhelm. Perf.
